Top 10 ways to win Homecoming King/Queen at Dinuba High

1) Get Mexicans to vote: Dinuba Highschool's South Campus consists of 100% of the school's spanish speakers, which makes up probably 40% of the school. Get them to vote for you, you have the competition sacked.

2) Manipulate the competition: Tell your competition that you'll vote for them if they vote for you. It probably wont work, but the blondes might go for it

3) Hand out different crap: You might sway people with giving free stuff. But, they might lie to you and take your stuff without your name in mind.

4) Get your friends to vote: Make sure that they go vote. Don't let them go anywhere at lunch until they vote for you.

5) Make better posters: If your posters are crap, then people will think your crap.

6) Go up to anyone: Go up to anyone, random people if you have to, and tell them to vote for you. people might laugh or stare at you, but winning should be the 1st priority in mind.

7) Have fun with the dress up days: If you dress up funny as hell and don't care how you look, then people will know you and have your name in mind when voting comes around.

8) Make friends fast: If your a loser and not known, or known as a loser, then don't even hope for a chance to win.

9) Have your friend's friends vote for you: They may not know you, but if you friends don't have anyone to vote for then pursuade them to vote for you. What's the harm in that?

10) If all comes to last resort, get on your knees and beg!: You might be desperate at this point, so start begging people! You never know, peole might take pity on you. If it doesn't, you'll just seem stupid.

History? Why do we need to take a class about it?

Okay, i'm planning to become a veterinarian or a doctor, something in the medical field. Okay, my career path has nothing to do with history! why are students forced to learn things that they don't need to know for their own future? I mean, take history for example. We go through basically our whole school lives learning about our forefathers, our founders, presidents, and other important people that have left their mark in our history. But, in reality, how many people are dedicated to entering a field that deals with history? not very much my friends. Plus, students forget what they have learned after thaat class has ended! Students are prevented from graduating becuase of history classes, which is a total waste of our time. What are we people going to need history for in the future? Do we need history to become a doctor? Do we need history if we become a science teacher? A vet? A lawyer? A pediatrician? A police officer? A firefighter? No! Considering these facts, why are we students forced to suffer through such a burden in our lives? Huh? Do the poeple in power love to witness students suffering through classes this troublesome? I don't think we need to be troubeld so. Do you?

English............History?

Okay, i've been in English classes since i can remember. But, the crap didn't begin until probably my Junior year in highschool, last year. I went into class everyday, thinking that we're going to read poetry, learn about verbs and pronouns, and all this crap. But, it turned out, throughout the semester, that we are occupying our time with History. WHAT THE HELL!? HISTORY? IN ENGLISH!!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I mean, HOLY CRAP PEOPLE, this is english, not history. I already have a class where history takes up part of my life, it's government! Mostly like half our semester goes towards learning about english history , our forefathera in the english field. NO! Why the hell do i have to learn about the anglo saxons, and they probably never existed, and i'm never going to need that information again after the class is over! I mean, complete waste of time if you ask me. In my opinion, English is supposed to be geared towards improving you vocabulary, defining terms, learning about the english writing, being able to identify different pinpoints in writing. But, no, standards today set by the government or school districts have geared english classes a lot towards history now'a'days. I simply hate it. I feel sorry for the future generations of kids that have to enter that class, and learn nothing but crap.

JOURNALISM!!! WHAT IS THIS?

Everyday, I come in at 1:30, and it's pretty much the same routine everyday. We come in, turn our computors on, and begin our work with the yearbook pages. The time just drags on, and time doesn't seem to go fast enough. We sit here, typing, creating, our eyelids heavy as we do so. OH MY GOD!!! This is the slowest class in High School history!!! JOURNALISM!!!! A joke towards the writing world! A bore to all those that have experienced it (people that i know). We students sit their at computors, comanded by "the man", or in our the case "the women"! HA! what a joke! Writing for the yearbook is nothing but stress, white hairs at an early age, and personally i don't think it's fun at all. I joined the class thinking it was going to be a layed back class, i thought this is only because other individuals told me that the class was easy as apple pie. But guess what i found out, it's not!! NO! NOT AT ALL!! So, i do not regret to say that Journalism is a complete waste of time, and you learn nothing by it. Sure their's no homework, paperwork that is, but you do get assigned "year book pages" to complete at home. If your looking for a stress free class with no homework, do not look towards the field that is journalism! THANK YOU!!
